GoodSearch and GoodShop - 2 new ways to help the band!

To avoid confusion we have changed our GoodSearch name to: "Normal Community High School Bands - NCHS". If you are already using GoodSearch you really do not have to change anything and if you are not just use the name Normal Community High School Bands - NCHS when you do your first search.

Update 09/22/2009
Some folks reported that they could not get the tool bar to install. I reported this to Goodsearch and here is their answer. If continue to have problems please let Mark Coons know.
The only users that may have an issue adding the toolbar to their browsers are those with Vista Computers. While not all Vista Computers require advance steps to add the toolbar, some Vista computers do have additional security settings that make it more difficult to add programs and toolbars. Alternative instructions for these vista computers that are experiencing issues with adding the toolbar can be found here - http://www.goodsearch.com/toolbar/vista

MARCHING BAND FRUIT FUNDRAISER
Dear Marching Band Families,
Order forms with payment are due back by WED, NOVEMBER 18, 2009, to Mr. Meadows or Mr. Masterman.
Prices are listed below, please fill in your form and be sure to include your students name and your phone number (so I can reach you if I have any questions).
Payment must be turned in with your forms. Please have checks made out to NCHS marching band.
You may pick up your orders on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the district warehouse ( I will send more information out when we get closer to the date).
The fruit is one of the bands biggest and best fundraisers. In the past this has been very successful because the fruit is wonderful. If you need additional order forms, please let us know. We are asking each family to help us meet our goal for fundraising by selling 5 cartons each.

A change in plans
ATTENTION!! PLEASE READ!! ATTENTION!! PLEASE READ!! ATTENTION!! PLEASE READ!!
Due to the higher-than-expected cost of the charter coaches, the band will be traveling to St. Louis in school buses. If you are a parent who was planning to travel with the band on the coaches and now wish to reconsider, please send Mr. Meadows an email letting him know that you will NOT be riding with the band. In addition, if you have already received tickets for the Dome and will no longer be using them for this reason, you MUST return them on Saturday morning before we leave for St. Louis. The advanced sale tickets must be paid for when we arrive at the Dome. Please do not forget to take care of this Saturday morning (or Friday during P/T Conferences). If they are not returned at that time, then you will have to pay for the tickets.
If you have already received your tickets and have not sent in a check for the cost of the tickets, please take care of this before the band leaves Saturday.
If you wanted tickets for the Dome and have not received them, you can still purchase them at the door for the same price.

Community Night at Jimmy Johns!!!!
REMINDER:
Community Night at JIMMY JOHNS is this Thursday, October 22 from 4pm-6pm!!!
Two locations: 305 S. Main Street, Normal (across from ISU) and 2301 E. Washington Street, Bloomington (across from State Farm).
They have increased our percentage of sales from 10% to 15% for this event!
Band practice is at ISU on Thursday night, so why not stop by Jimmy Johns on S. Main Street and pick up a sandwich before rehearsal??
If you or someone you know works at State Farm, have them pick up sandwiches for supper on Thursday on their way home from work!
You have to our coupon OR tell them you are with the Normal Community HS Marching Band. To download and print our coupon click here and then select the "Jimmy Johns Flyer".
